Extreme conditions, fragile balance

Steam boilers are subject to extreme conditions: pressure, intense heat, and continuous operation.
Under these conditions, even the slightest impurity in the water promotes the formation of scale, which is the silent enemy of steam boilers.
Invisible at first glance, it slowly accumulates on heating surfaces, reducing heat transfer, increasing energy consumption, in addition to corrosion. This can turn a high performance boiler into a source of costly losses and unexpected shutdowns.

What if your boiler looked like this?

What you don't see... could still be your reality.
Over time, scale and corrosion deposits build up inside pipes and steam boilers.
What you see in this image is the result of natural mineral buildup when water is not treated properly.
Without close monitoring, this image can quickly become the reality of your installation.

Did you know that...

3 mm (⅛ inch) of scale can cost a 500 BHP boiler more than $320,000 (over 25%) in additional fuel each year.
This deposit acts as a thermal insulator, preventing the efficient transfer of heat between metal surfaces and water.

As a result, the boiler has to work harder, consume more energy, and produce more emissions to maintain the same steam output.

Over time, this loss of efficiency not only translates into higher operating costs, but also increased greenhouse gas emissions and premature wear and tear on equipment, which may even lead to breakdowns.

Water leaves its mark

Water quality varies, operating cycles change, and it puts metal surfaces under severe stress.
Each boiler operates in a delicate balance, where the slightest variation in water composition causes dissolved minerals to precipitate, attaching themselves to hot surfaces and forming scale.
In such an environment, the precision of the treatment, the choice of the right products, and an understanding of how they interact with the system make all the difference in preserving it for the long term.

the power of green chemistry

Our solutions are based on green chemistry: purified tannins extracted from renewable plant sources replace traditional chemicals.
These tannins act as natural scale and corrosion inhibitors, reinforcing the magnetite layer on metal surfaces.
Biodegradable and free of heavy metals and toxic compounds, they reduce risks for the environment, personnel, and facilities.

Budget

A single tannin-based product covers all boiler treatment needs, replacing multiple conventional chemicals.
It is simple to use: fewer tests, less equipment, and easier storage.
For teams in the field, this means fewer risks, easier handling, and a safer, more pleasant working environment.

Because results matter

Tannin-based treatment keeps boiler surfaces clean and efficient, even at very low blowdown rates, using less water and energy and significantly reducing GHG emissions.
Every deposit prevented means a more efficient, more durable boiler and lower operating costs.
With a presence in many countries, we optimize thousands of systems worldwide, so you start saving from day one thanks to more efficient treatment, without investing in new equipment (CAPEX).

Your boiler deserves better than scale

Steam boilers operate under extreme conditions, and scale always ends up building up inside them.
But making the right choices can make all the difference: properly treated water means a cleaner, more durable, and more economical boiler.

Whether you have a water tube boiler, fire tube boiler, coil boiler, or an electric element or electrode boiler, we can help you.
Trust specialists who understand your systems and know how to maintain their performance before it's too late.
